“Fish inside a Birdcage” - quirky Single Fan Veil belly dance technique and choreography
This 5-week, online, open level fusion belly dance series will be exploring fun and dynamic single fan veil technique and combinations, which will be linked together in a choreography to a quirky and upbeat song. Working with a single full length fan veil lends itself to endless possibilities of expressiveness and playfulness. Lets explore these qualities through tried and true, as well as unique and unusual combinations, playing with both big and impressive tricks as well as small nuanced details, connecting the dance intricately to the upbeat music.
This class is open level: a lot of fun optional layers will be offered to the more experienced dancers, while the base layer of the choreography is a great introduction to fusion with fan veil, if you have never tried it before. However, be prepared for an enthusiastic pace for the final choreography (we will practice at reduced speed as well as full speed).
All workshop registrants will receive HD video from each class, which will be accessible to you for 1 month after the live event.
