“Promenade” - Parasol fusion belly dance technique and choreography

This 5-week, online, open level fusion belly dance series will be exploring an enchanting prop - the parasol! You will need a single parasol or umbrella, with a hook handle.
A parasol, just like any item you may choose to dance with, can be used to enhance the story you are sharing on stage. Elegant and unique, it instantly adds ambience and drama to the dance, however it can also be tricky and feel somewhat restrictive. In this workshop you will learn a brand new parasol choreography, with some of Irina’s favorite combinations and techniques that will make your dance harmonious and connected to this beautiful prop, helping you enhance your presentation.
This class is open level: a lot of fun optional layers will be offered to the more experienced dancers.
All workshop registrants will receive HD video from each class, which will be accessible to you for 1 month after the live event.
WHEN: 5 Saturdays, 2 to 3:30pm EST (6pm UK time) ,April 1, 8 15, May6 and 13 (skipping April 22 and 29), 2023
Recordings of the class will be made available for all dancers . You can take the whole series over video - live attendance is optional.
WHERE: This class is going to be taught via online, Zoom application and all class recordings will be forwarded to class participants.
COST: $80 for the complete workshop series. Partial registration is not allowed - videos of all classes will be sent to all participants.
Pre-registration is required and closes at 11.59pm, the day before the first class.
